How to (re)use Activities in Mastertable

Table of Contents

How activities can be re-used via the MAP on several machines

The master list of activities is designed so that a given activity can be easily reused for multiple machines.

This has the following advantages:

  1. the list remains clear and easy to maintain.
  2. activities that can occur on multiple machines only need to be created once and can be reused on multiple machines.
  3. it creates a uniform naming convention for all machines and sites.
  4. incident types that occur on multiple machines can be easily identified.
  5. since the type of each activity is known (e.g. [Wait] or [Failure]), it does not need to be included in the name of the activity.
  6. the same applies to the name of the machine on which this activity takes place;
    So instead of [ST – M1056 – St. 23 Extraction], [Extraction] is sufficient. In the MAP, this activity is then linked to machine M1056 and the fact that it is a failure is indicated by the red marking due to the type [F] that has been added to the activity. From there, Paretos, MTBF, etc. can be analyzed by machine, line, factory, etc.
  7. The names of the activities in the analyses and on the buttons are also much clearer to see and understand.
