How to set USER PREFERENCES
The behavior of several elements in the software can be configured depending your preferences.
There are 2 different settings that will influence the behavior.
- System Preferences: General settings for the software
- User preferences: General settings per logged-in user, valid where the user has logged in.
How to open the User-Preferences screen
- Select [SYSTEM] in the main menu
- Select [USER PREFERENCES]
General Settings
Setting | Function |
Size and position of main-screen | [Maximized]: At startup, the app will start maximized [As last used]: Size and position are saved; next startup will be equal |
Startup screen | The default screen the system will display after startup. |
Application Theme | Select the ‘looks’ of your app. You will need to restart the app to activate it. |
Decimals calculated output | Output will be calculated on several places in the app. Define the amount of decimals needed in the result. |
Decimals in charts | In charts no high precision is needed. Define how many decimals you would like to see here. Many decimals will make the chart cluttered. |
Decimals for products | The amount of decimals displayed when entering quantities of produced product in the main screen |
Show Tooltips | On many places in the software, helpful tooltips appear when hoovering over with the cursor. This may be an inconvenient feature for experienced users. |
Analyses Settings
Setting | Function |
Animated charts | When putting charts on the screen, this can be done in an animated way or directly without ‘building’ the chart visually nicely to the screen |
Hide Filter Settings Completely | After generating a chart or report, by default the filter settings collapse to the bottom of the screen; a small bar remains at the bottom: To have more space for the chart, also this bar can be hidden. To gain access to the filter press right button. |
DATA Settings
Setting | Function |
Shift Order | How to order the registered OEE calculations in the main screen: By ID number (= sequence of entry) or by date |
Maximum advanced shift time | When a shift is defined to start at 7:00 it is allowed to start the registration earlier. This setting defines how much earlier (in minutes) |
Favorites
Setting | Function |
Show Favorite Activities | In the MAP activities can be marked as ‘Favorite’. Activities from any type can be ‘Favorite’. When marked as such, those activities can be places together on a Favorites page, to gain quickly access o the most frequently used activities. |
Show Favorite Products | Same as for Activities can be done for Products |
Data Satellite Settings
The data satellite has some specific settings that are not applicable in the view mode. To enter this screen you must select SYSTEM from the DataCollect main menu. Then select User Preferences.:
Setting | Function |
Maximum advanced shift time | When a shift is defined to start at 7:00 it is allowed to start the registration earlier. This setting defines how much earlier (in minutes). 120 means: it could start at 5:00 |
Default date of new shift | When adding a new cycle, either the day of today or the last used date can be set as default. |
Decimals for products | The amount of decimals displayed when entering quantities of produced product in the main screen |
Decimals calculated output | Output will be calculated on several places in the app. Define the amount of decimals needed in the result. |
Print ShiftReport at end of shift | Select whether a ShiftReport should be printed automatically after a shift has ended and/or saved to PDF |
Allow simultaneous data registrations | In situations where one PC needs to collect data of multiple machines, it is possible to have multiple data-collection screens open simultaneously. |
Machines per Page on Dashboard | How many simultaneously opened shifts where data is being collected to display on the dashboard. |
